Farmland Food Truck Serving Free Meals at Price Chopper on June 26
INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Farmland food truck will be giving out free boxed meals for breakfast and lunch at Price Chopper on Saturday, June 26. The meals will be distributed as part of the Farmland Honoring the Heartland Tour, which celebrates farmers.
The Farmland truck will be at the Price Chopper on 16611 East 23rd St. in Independence from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be serving boxed meals including a sandwich, cookie and drink. The staff is following rigorous health and safety precautions, and consumers are encouraged to wear a mask and keep a distance of six feet apart.
After handing out free lunch to shoppers, the Farmland food truck will be delivering free meals to Price Chopper employees at a store in Kansas City.
The Farmland Honoring the Heartland Tour is a way to honor and serve the farmers who have been integral in helping the country survive through the pandemic this past year.
